I believe Douglas Adams had micro-black hole home garbage disposals...except that any attempt to recover objects accidentally thrown away proved fatal, and occasionally the micro-singularities would belch out bursts of lethal radiation...
BUT...if you could make a microsingularity, then jet gas past its (tiny) event horizon, you might just be able to have enough of it come shooting back off accelerated to a good fraction of light speed....super plasma jet weapon...of course, the containment and mounting would be massive, but it might make for a nasty deep space weapon...

"Trouble rather the Tiger in his Lair,
Than the Sage among his Books,
For all the Empires and Kingdoms,
The Armies and Works that you hold Dear,
Are to him but the Playthings of the Moment,
To be turned over with the Flick of a Finger,
And the Turning of a Page"
