OCTOPUS ?

Unread post by Flakpanzer »

Hey folks,

I had a great badguy character concept for a mutant octopus that rides around in a walking mech aquarium suit, but was disappointed to find out that there are not stats for octopus characters in the After the Bomb book.

Does anyone know if something like that has been posted online ?

I believe its listed in Rifter #29. I know for certain its in Road Hogs. But its an old school listing. So you would have come up with vestigial traits.

How well does the older TMNT stuff mesh with the newer ATB (from what it sounds like, there would need to be adaptations...)?
"Things aren't what they used to be" is the rallying cry of small minds. When men say things used to be better, they invariably mean they were better for them, because they were young, and had all their hopes intact. The world is bound to look a darker place as you slide into the grave.

Some adaptaion is nessisary. But it shouldn't be to bad. IIRC the after the bomb book gives instructions on how to create animals. So having the old school listing half your works done. Or will at least put you in the right direction. If all else fails wing it. Its your game. Do what you want.

I don't have the new AtB, but I do have Rifter 29. The mutants in that book will work with the old stuff, if you just ignore a few "extra" traits. So it looks like you'd have to fudge things a little bit to use the old stuff with the new.
