You imagined it.
In fact, until Draygon industries (Three Galaxies) started making reflective armour and variable frequency laser rifles.... there was no such thing in the Phase World setting.
There are some Glitterboys brought over from Rifts, though.

Throw rocks at it it will do more damage and penetrate armor in an AP attack.

That is what you could always use a spinal mounted mass driver for!

Use all your high tech lasers to burn out the Doombringers shields then start throwing rocks. I wonder what a Vagabond with a bag of candy could do.

But the Vagabond only gets soap or candy, and nobody wants a stinky ship, so it has to be candy. Just pick 'rock' candy.

If the Doombringer is chasing you, then yes, candy would work.
Given the massive velocittes inherent in Space travel (percentages of c) you could pitch out a handful of pennies, or a bag od enpty beer cans into the path of a ship chasing you. The debris would rip the ship apart.
that would make ftl space travel inherently impossible, bits of space dust would destroy ships seconds after engaging the drive. The candy is used as bait because all kreegor have huge sweet tooths.

With a wave of my hand, I render this scientific truism null and void!

Whoa...you can do that?

There is no organic component. The Zentaedi were meant to rendevous with automated robotech factories for restocking and repairs.
