Monsters in Splicers

Unread post by Spinachcat »

In the Splicers core book, it mentions that there are various alien creatures present on the world and that GMs should use monsters from other supplements.

What Palladium books have the best monsters / alien beasties that would fit well in the Splicers world?

Considering that the Librarians and Engineers have been using alien DNA to make Host Armors, would it be most appropriate to just "reverse engineer" a monster by just creating an HA or LBA or War Mount with its own animal / alien intelligence?

Has anyone created aliens / animals by just using the HA system in the book? How do you assign skills and attributes to the monster?

I have visions of a roughneck patrol discovering a Flooper colony in the preserves.

Imagine what benefits their DNA would provide the resistance :D

Take in count that the PSlcier world, sadly, lack of any energy PPE, ISP or even CHI(on this point i don't understand). so ignore demons, undeads, and most supernatural creatures with psionic powers. Hmm we're left with dinosaurs.... :P :x

How you figure an absence of Chi? If anything there's an overabundance of Negative Chi and the limiting factor is the lack of anyone to train in the mystic arts.

HEY YOU SAID THERE IS NO CHI!! I remeber it! sheeshh. Ayway with chi ir without it, nothign change. Most monsters are not good because their powers won't work. Sadly. :(

Go for non-magical beasts from the other games, ones that don't rely on PPE for their attack & defense abilities. Monsters & Animals is also the most obvious choice for a start.
