Oh-dear-God - not MORE Strength variants...

That brings it up to at least a dozen, I believe.

Makes...my...head...hurt...
"Things aren't what they used to be" is the rallying cry of small minds. When men say things used to be better, they invariably mean they were better for them, because they were young, and had all their hopes intact. The world is bound to look a darker place as you slide into the grave.

I don't recall the last one posted in this forum.

Mephisto does have a point. There isn't anything in the AtB book indicating a bonus for choosing those stength levels under Mutant Animal Powers.

Brute Strength only mention that characters with PS greater than 17 are considered to have Brute Strength with a max of 30. So does that mean that they start with PS 3D6+17+animal and skill bonuses, but are limited to 30? That seems a bit excessive.

Beastly gives no min or max to be considered Beastly.

However, Crushing Strength is different in that these characters get their own damage chart (no PS damage bonus is applied) starting at 15. Thus I would not allow the 1D6+10 Bonus to PS.

Personally, I don't allow PS bonuses for choosing any of the Extra Physical Strength Animal Powers as players who want to play strong characters will have already placed their big scores in PS, and animals that get to choose these types of strength already get a healthy PS bonus.

Allowing bonuses like those Mephisto posted would create characters with huge PS scores. But if that's okay in your game style, go for it.

Alternatly, I would suggest a flat +4 PS bonus for all three Strength types.

You may also want to consider having your players roll (or designate) their Attributes after they chose/roll their animal type.
