HU energy expulsions, would they be treated as energy attacks or as Magic?

I was thinking about Defending against them. Would they be applied against the CK near invunerability to energy or against the CK vunerability to magic. I see your point about even magically invoked energy attacks. Fireball is still a fire attack etc However on page 101 of PW it specifies invulnerability to all fire except magic fire. Now is the HU power energy expulsion fire, energy, fire or magic.

my own interpretation is that they're energy, no matter the origin (even if they're PPE based), and I follow the standard mentioned in the Phase Mystics ability to dispel magic, that once the magic PPE is turned into a lightning bolt, it's now electricity, etc.
I know there's some distinction concerning the psi-sword (and this is official from the HU authors) but otherwise -- to me anyway -- it's just energy.
Gadrin, I would agree with you up to a point- with magically created energies- electricity, and particle beams, the CK is invulnerable
The CK's are vulnerable to magically created fire, per their write-up. and any magical energy bolts like Power Bolt, Energy Bolts, etc- since they are an unclassified "magical energy beam/blast/what-have-you."

HU Super powers are not considered magical energy attacks, unless it was perhaps a Mystically Bestowed super ability. If it's a TGE Invincible Guardsman super power- I would rule that the CK takes no damage from any form of energy expulsion power.

I would agree.
And I would also say that the odds of a Cosmo Knight encountering anyone with superpowers in my game is about nil.

I also agree with the others. But in my game a CK can encounter a super powered NPC or character. I have a couple of races who use them as their super soldiers. Sort of like the Shir'a from marvel.

So, no invincible guardsmen from the TGE for you then?

My Invincible Guardsmen get two picks from the minor, physical attribute table, and then get elite power armour training.
They don't need to turn to stone with +16 to dodge in a suit of Warlord...

Energy Expulsions are not magical in nature. Therefor they get resisted.

No truer words have ever been spoke gadrin.
