Time line

(the galaxy was once full of sentiant life many great civalazations
rose but they were unable and unwilling to get along. So the alean
civalazations went to war. No one knows how long this war lasted
but it ended when a super biological weapon was released all sentiant
life was wiped out by this superweapon, most nonsentiant life was wiped
out two. In a small corner of space this superweapon fell on a bubbling
mass of a planet. The planit only had viral and bacterial life the bioweapon
instead of obliterating life started a chain reaction which lead to multicelled
organisms. This planit was called earth, and the bio weapon still exists
today it is called the common cold...)

the earth eventally after great amont of time delevoped sentiant life
we call these life forms humans. Humanity eventally went to the starts
and found themselves in a empty universe, traces of alean civalazation
still exists but the great citys are empty maintained by robots who
mindlessly keep them in good repair unaware that their creaters are
long dead.

It was only a matter of time until some one decided to try to use the
alean tecnology against their fellow man. The first one to successfully
use this tecnology was a small cult called the Zunies. The cult preached
that unbelivers should be destroyed in holy war or enslaved for their
own good. They discovered biology based weapons that were embarsingly
more powerfull then the best technology humanity had.

They were able to clone a army of followers in their quest to unite
humanity under one faith.

Thankfully tecnology tends to spread and a great allance was formed
agains the Zunies. Today humanity is in two camps which have been
at war for what is now thosands of years. The hate is absoulte and
the war neverending.

The players are a group of allance solgers who are determined to
find a ultiment weapon to end the war. to this end they will explore
the galaxy rumage through deserted alean citys and prevent their
enemys from seccedding in the same goal.

I can see the Splicers in Space concept, but I am unsure how you are weaving in the other PB games.

If you add the Rifts concept of Magic Unleashed and use Rifts as galactic teleporters, that would alleviate the need for spaceships during the search across the universe. Also, the Magic OCCs would be good addition. I could see both religious fanatics becoming Juicers for the Great Crusade. My concern is that you may be limited in threats if all life has been wiped out across all civilizations.

You may want to limit the death to all sentient creatures so you could have all these fallen ruins still have monsters to meet and fight. The other problem is that if the two groups are at each other's throats and everyone else is dead, then there are no third party NPCs to meet.

Also, there are much more than the usual balance issues when you mix Splicers in with anything. I doubt most Nightbanes or non-PA Rifts OCCs can stand up against a Biotic, let along a Dreadguard. In fact, I'd put my money on a Biotic vs. a Juicer. I can rationalize a Rogue Scholar and a SAMAS pilot on the same team, but a Rogue Scholar among Splicers is a speed bump.

This could become an interesting idea. Throw out some more thoughts and see if you could turn it into a Rifter article. I love the idea of you creating a new game out of the pieces of stuff people already own.

Combat in the Age of capacorn

In humanitys over 1000 year war people have devolped a stile
of combat. Space stations and ships are expensive expecially
MDC space ships which humanity is incapable of building at
the moment. Space ships are grown on organatech farms and
take up to a 100 years to reatch gestation thus humanity has
devolped a differnt form of warfare.

Travel is done by the ships Engeners who are experts in teleportatonal
magic. They open worm holes which take them from place to place.
Combat in the Age of capacorn works like this the goal of combat is
not to destroy the ship itself but the ships force feilds once the feild is
down elite solgers can be teleported onto the ship. What takes place
then is a brutal attempt to wipe out all living members of the enemy
ship and take the ship for their side. Once a ship is clensed it is taken
to a loading base where the ship is inked. The inking process is akin
to tattoing and the ships is changed to ether Orange or blue.
Orange is a scared color to the Zunie religion and the Allance uses
blue because its a tradition.
