Short Adventure - Northern Lights

I've written a short adventure for After the Bomb. It's called Northern Lights and features a foray into the Great Lakes region, which to my knowledge has not been described in any AtB sources (though I don't have all the books).
The PDF can be downloaded here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2331132/After%2 ... Lights.pdfIf anyone else wishes to host it you're welcome to do so. I have not included any statistics for NPCs as I'm not really a numbers guy and my personal experience is that all those numbers have to be adjusted to suit the level of the PCs anyway. If someone wishes to write them up, please go ahead and I'll add them to the file.
Let me know what you think.

Wow! That is really, really good. Pro quality! Character stats would help a lot (especially the group that attacks on the bridge). You can always
modify existing stats to match the group. I only have AtB1, or i'd do it for you.
One thing i might change if i ran the adventure would be to make the shield generator's degradation irreversible, either turn it off before it runs out of power, or it is gone forever. But that's just me, i like having the pre-bomb stuff hard (nigh-impossible?) to salvage.
(BTW to see the map in
Mechanurgist's first post just quote or reply and scroll down to it in the "Topic review". (or Quote and hit the Preview button)

While I have yet to read the adventure, going from what people have said already, I'd try for a Rifter submission. I have seen the map, and that looks great.

Thanks, guys.
I don't really want to submit it to The Rifter because there's precious little AtB material on the net and I want to make my stuff available for free to everyone.
I'll see if I have time to add NPC stats when I get back from vacation, and correct some minor errors that I overlooked in the first draft.

But there's even less presented in the Rifter

I love the twist you add to Anthrotopia
This will most likely find itself inserted into my newly started campaign.
Great Work Mechanurgist!
Hope we see more of your work in the future.

Cool! Thanks for hosting it, Rali.
I'll be updating it in about a week. If anyone has any suggestions or noticed any glaring errors, let me know.

Yes, I do.
Send me an email to
gordyzx9r@hotmail.com with "Northern Lights Request" in the subject heading and I'll send it to you.
It's dated 13 AUG 2006, I don't know if that's the latest version or not. I would be willing to bet that Rali has it as well and he might have a more recent version.

Mr phillup! Funny to see you here.
If you let me into your game I'll even update the animal stats in the adventure.
The link is dead because drop.io got bought out by Facebook or Google or somesuch mega-behemoth web company and shut themselves down. The link on Rali's excellent blog is probably the best long-term bet for now.
My God, it's been more than 4 years since I wrote that adventure. How time flies when you're getting married, travelling around the world and settling down in a new house.

I did get a copy and it was a good read. About the game I am still trying to get my first adventure under my belt read along let me know your thoughts. After the first adventure I may open it up a bit more it seems there is interest because I have four others wanting in as well.

You must have magical powers of attraction, because when I tried to stoke up interest in AtB on the N9 forums there was hardly a peep.
