Me I will be running at least 1 Heroes Unlimited game, not sure on the material, game etc...

I will also be running a Splicers game.

Thanks for the new topic.

Come try out...
VALLEY OF THE PHARAOHS!

I will be running a Valley of the Pharaohs game, entitled "State of De-Nile, wherein the players must race to rescue the god-bodies (statues) of Ra's right and lefts eyes, Nekhebet and Vatchet, in order that the sun can rise again. The insane cult of Kharnbu the Four Ways Wicked will do anything to bring eternal darkness to the land of Kemet.

Players, take heed! This system is completely different than all other PB systems ever made. The VotP game and rules are downloadable from The Cutting Room Floor. No experience with this system is required, though I encourage folks to print it out and bring it along. An introduction to the system will be included at the beginning of the session to make sure everybody understands it.

I will bring along extra print-outs of the game for reference on site in case people don't have their own.

Pre-gens will be provided, and game time should be approximately 4 hours.

Im planning on running Robotech 2nd Edition (tentatively):

Vae Victis! - Woe be to the conquered (Livy)

Set one year after the Invid invasion, the players learn of an Invid plan to reverse engineer one of the Robotech Masters' Living Protoculture Central Computers into a protoculture sensor. The group must infiltrate and destroy the site before this technology gives the Invid the edge they need to eventually conquer the entirety of the Earth!

Edit: With a little luck, cardstock miniatures and a cardstock playing area/map/terrain will be included to add an all new playing experience to the game. Pregens will be provided (naturally).

I will be running two games (hopefully):

Secondhand Warriors

Rifts: Japan (with a little China thrown in)
Saturday
A group of aged failed warriors makes one last bid for honor and glory.

Running Time: Appx 4 hrs

Fields of Blood

WWII era HU2
Sunday
A Squad of rangers combined with the resistance are ordered to take out a German heavy water plant while retrieving information useful to the allied scientists.

Running Time: Appx 4hrs

All pregens will be provided. Minis and battlemaps will be used.

Phase World:
Formation 1

Yes, a direct sequel to the only Phase World game to appear at the 2006 Open House!

Players are a team of elite special forces soldiers fighting to secure control of Good Hope during the opening days of the Rebellion against the Kreeghor.

This year, the group must rob the Good Hope Planetary Reserve Bank in order to fund the war effort. But getting there might be the death of them...

Spots are limited. Each player gets a lovely gaming booklet to keep as a souvenir (includes pre-gen character, related weapons, pictures, and game background), and will go down in history as the men and women who helped forge a new nation!

Well I'm thinking of running a Mechanoids game based on some work I did to update the system to current Palladium O.C.C.'s. We'll call it play testing should Kevin like it :)

I might also run a game that involves the Minion War :demon:

I plan on running at least 1 game, if not more. But for right now here's what I have in mind.

RIFTS CCG
If not a small tournament, then perhaps just a gathering to play others. Give out deck ideas, trade cards, and perhaps even a little prize giveaway.

As for the RPG game,

RIFTS (Game Title Pending)
Utilizing an idea I came up with recently, all the players will be part of an 'Information Retrieval' Squad working for the Black Market. This type of squad is composed of Mages and Psychics, outfitted with appropriate gear, and sent into Industrial Nations to recover Engineering Plans, R&D Notes, and other items regarding newly created systems, in an attempt for the Black Market to replicate and manufacture their own versions or knock-off's.

If time permits, I may also run another game or two. Those could possibly be another RIFTS game, an HU2 game, or perhaps even my Nightbane game, which is set in 1500 A.D. Japan before Dark Day and the nation being slowly conquered by the Nightlord Avatar, Nobunaga Oda!

All RPG's will be 4-8 players and possibly run an average of 4 hrs.

Would you consider a tutorial type of game for those that may have the cards, but don't know how to play, or have little experience?

As for the Rifts game cool concept, Rifts, Industrial Espionage :ok:

First up: For the CCG, I am willing to do anything with the cards, from Tutorial to Deck Building to Tournament. Perhaps all three! Start off, have a Tutorial to the game. It's actually pretty straight forward, not a whole lot of 'craziness' involved in that. Then, moving into Deck Construction. That is the tricky part as each Faction has it's own rules. But, once you figure them out, things move smoothly.

In fact, the best thing I could tell you would be seperate your cards into different Piles depending on their Faction. (Of course the Black (Event) cards and Green (Asset) cards would be one big stack, as they are neutral). How to tell about Faction, look at the Cost, which is the text printed on the bottom of the card. That is the biggest timesaver and headache reliever I can think of. After that, build and play.

Hmm....perhaps a buid and playtest session and then an actual tournament. I need to see about deligating time now.

As for the Rifts game, the idea is sort of a test run concept for a book Subjugator has mentioned he wanted to write, asked me if I want to help, and now generating small ideas in my head. I may reveal more after YoumaCon, as it's nothing official yet.

"Sins of the Forefathers" will conclude this year. Depending on those in attendance, there may be an open spot or two. I'm also flirting with another game idea or two, but they'll definitely have to wait until we're closer to the date so I can solidify my schedule.

I would love to run a Palladium game, perhaps something old, but I dont know how to run anything but epics/campains. I cant fathom running something that will last only 4-6 hours, but I'll try and figure it out since I would really like to GM a Palladium game.

You make a very short story arc, like how Star Trek. They can bring the universe to the brink of destruction and fix it all in an hour.

I know a few GM's (Levi comes to mind :ok: ) who run a part one on one day and a part two on a second day. You can also tell Palladium I plan on running all day if that's what you want. Although most people want to try different game systems, plus walk around and not be at a single gaming table all day. Just scale your game down so you have three or four encounters and something that can be run through rather quickly.

It's a good point - perhaps someone could panel a discussion on how to create and run an adventure that fits in a 4-6 hour block? I know my games tend to run about 30-40 hours of session time, and I'd love to know more about what to keep in/cut out, what kind of house rules might speed things up, short-game specific preparation, etc.

Good idea. :ok:

I will definately be running atleast 2 scheduled games...

1st will be for Splicers. I am currently giving the game the name of "Dracos Down" (in honor of Blackhawk Down)

2nd game will be for Heroes Unlimited. This game will either be earth based, comic style heroes battling an old foe that has returned or if I am lucky enough, I am currently pleading with Kevin to let me run a demo/ sneak preview of "Aliens Unlimited: Atorian Empire".

That wound be great...

Also, on the same idea as my last post... I have never played short 4-6 hour sessions and would really like to play in some games at the Open House. Could anyone PM some help on that or a website or article that would help me out there?

I'd like to run a game at the Open House, but to be honest, I'm very afraid to. I mean....I've GMed some for my friends and stuff, but for such dedicated long time fans such as all of you...well....deathly afraid.

Do you think I should?

I mean....what if I'm a terrible GM?!

Heck, before this past Open House of `06, I hadnt GM'ed for a long time. I thought my game would suck. TUrns out people enjoyed it. Even one of Julius Rosensteins friends (Val), had cancelled his game with Julius to play in what we thought would be a part to my first game. So give it a try man. Infact if you GM a game, I will play in your game!

So, I've decided to run a game, but I haven't decided what yet.

I'm leaning toward Nightbane, or BTS.

Maybe a Rifts Coalition game.

I'll decide in the next couple of weeks.

Yeah, as far as I know.

The heavy weapon guy is spoken for, as is the sniper... but that still leaves the Demo Expert, the veteran grunt, the book-smart-never-seen-real-action Lieutenant, the Imperial Psichic operative (new this year), and the Wulfen Tech officer.

Latia Keel feels that if you are planning to crack into a bank, you had better have a quality demo expert like her around.

Using the Beyond the Supernatural 2nd edition book as the core, I will be running a zombie game I call,

STAND UP AND......WALK!

The game will be 8 players max and will run for....well when I ran this for my group it went a long time. But I hope to keep it to 4 - 6 hours.

The players will all be pregens, and they will be regular people. A Detroit beat cop, a mechanic, a teenager missing a leg, several others, oh.....and Amy a 12 year old little girl who isn't all that she seems.

The storyline begins with the rise of the dead one warm spring day in downtown Detroit. All you have to do is survive.

Dude!!!!!!!!!! I am so looking for your table when I get there. What day are you running it ? And can you pregen a mime for me!! I run tons of Zombie games for my group, but never get to play. I so wanna jump in on this.

I don't know when it's going to be scheduled, but I will definitely add you to the reserve list!

As for a mime.........mimes are like clowns, spawns of satan! But I'll see what I can do.

:D

Oh ya baby!!!!! Silent horror is the best. Just image the other players creepy factor as the big silent guy mimes out everything, lol

And yes mimes, clowns and jesters are the spawn of satan, and Daddy's gonna love this.

Hey all, this year I'll be attending and running two games at the Open House!

First will be a Robotech game- the working title is Robotech: "In the Shadow of Zor" and it should be a fun little romp!
Player group size will probably be about 6-8.

Second will be a Rifts game- I don't have a working title as of yet, but it will be based on my Rifts Dimension Book manuscript of many moons ago- The Grand Paladins! Anyone interested in playing with "experimental" characters in a strange new world are welcome to play.
Player group size will be around the same as above, with a chance of up to 10

Hope to see and meet many of you in May!

VALLEY OF THE PHARAOHS!

I will be running a Valley of the Pharaohs game, entitled "State of De-Nile, wherein the players must choose sides in a brewing conflict between the kings and gods of old, and the new powers attempting to move in on the kingdom.

Players, take heed! This system is completely different than all other PB systems ever made. The VotP game and rules are downloadable from The Cutting Room Floor. I ask that players who are interested please at least read and familiarize themselves with the rules prior to our game (though no experience playing is required).

I will bring along extra print-outs of it for reference on site in case people don't have their own, and as always, I shall attempt to have a Fabulous Prize (TM) to award to the one the players vote as MVP. It is possible the Fabulous Prize (TM) will be an actual copy of VotP, but that depends on availability. It also could be Palladium art, or an unusual or rare book or item.

Pre-gens will be provided, and game time should be approximately 4 hours.

Aren't you also running a Library of Betherad game involving the Zealotry? If you are me (Daryle) and my friend (Sam) would love to get in that game. If you have the space left please confirm for me if you could that you'll hold 2 seats for us or if it's first come first served.

How's this sound?

Rifts: The Rescue of Mitch the Snake.

The players, all members of a Vanguard Cell receive word that the mercenary known as Mitch The Snake, has been waylaid and captured by a rogue, disgruntled Vanguard operative. The Snake is friendly to the Vanguard's goals and is covertly a C.S. Intelligence Officer, The players must locate and rescue this moderately high-placed sympathizer for the good of the Vanguard and of the Coalition.

Count Me In!
I have been looking to secure some good PF gaming before I venture off to other PB settings. To my knowledge there are only 2 people from the forum running the PF setting, :( only you and Zachary the First. You would think the oldest, most widely and well known setting would have a bigger calling than just 2 GMs. :x Well outside the staff that is. :D PF Kev's first and real LOVE! :D Which is why I maybe throughing in my hat for some PF GMing. After I decide which of/or how many of, the four PF games I have pre-desginated that I will actually be running and then working out all of there details, of course. The main reason for the continuely delayed announcment of the PF games I'll be running is do to my current overseas deployed status, me not bringing my books with me. :-x
2 games being a good start, more being better. If you would happen to know of any other GMs running some PF at the OH I would love to know about them. :?

Eryk Stormbright wrote:well Warwolf has encouraged me to run a game this year, i was thinking about a PFRPG game set in a newly discovered land, a land where Psioncs and not magic rule. it's an idea me and my wife have been toying around with for sometime now. i don't have a title for it yet, but i will here soon. # of players.. i was thinking around 6-8, maybe more depending on if i have alot of people interested. pregen Chars will be provided, and i would really like a 4-6 hour slot on Sunday if it's still possible. and as far as Exp lev for the game 1-3. if this sounds cool to anyone let me know, thanks

::Update::

alright, i now have a title for the game. Legacy of the Old Ones.

about Pregens, as i've said before i'll have some handy, but if someone wants to make a new one or has another one ready for me to look over that's cool too.

Age Lev: PG-13

Description: With the Human/Wolfen war drawing ever closer it seems, our group of heros have been hired by the leaders of the forming army of the human resistance in the east as soldiers. but when one of the leaders is killed, our heros have a new mission, to find and bring back the assassin. while on the chase our heros are transported to a new continent someplace else on the Palladium world. what they find there may save the world, or damn it forever.

Are all the PC's, pre-gens or not, to be Psionics or can they be anything?

well the pregens that i'm going to making starting today i'm going to pull from the main book. i was going to throw in a Mind Mage for sure, but i'm going to try and go for a well rounded group. if you want to bring in a char of your own it don't have to be a Psionic, but there's a good chance that it might end up thatway depending on how long your in this new land.

I've started on the pre-gens for my Saturday night, after-hours Phase World game.

Space fighter pilots, a turbo jock, an operator, and three space pirates... lots of fun, this one is going to be.

I can't remember if I've posted this or not. I'm in the midst of making my pregens for:

The Rescue of Mitch the Snake.
