Can someone please explain to me why the ONLY equipment a highly skilled, advanced technological ninja-martial artist with no less than 3 WP's...is a suit of special armor?

I'm not saying give them all the best uber tech gear. but they live and work in a highly futuristic, modern soceity, mainly working for large corporations. Certain small, handy devices would probablly be unavoidable, let alone highly useful without comprimising their training.
