Yeah, I'd also say no to that. Invulnerable characters are vulnerable to magic and psionics, and some chi attacks. (and, in Rifts, very powerful weapons may do some damage). But Muay Thai in N&S is distincly lacking in any kind of mysticism. The shin kick is essentially a very hard kick from a very hard part of the body, not a supernatural attack.
(I actually don't like that it does HP damage directly. I've felt a few kicks from guys trained as thai boxers in my time and I never had to go to the hospital over them. Not saying that I won, cause I didn't, just saying...)

Oh, me too. It comes in the same book with many chi powers and whatnot, so we're not talking about realism. (Where a poke from a snake master can also do hit point damage directly, and kill your average joe with just 2 chi points expended. And tigermasters that can jump 120 feet straight up).
For realistic house ruling, maybe it should deal a save vs. pain or the victim recieves a minor injury as if he had recieved minor hit point damage. ("bruised leg" might be especially common.)

I think that would fall as a very disturbing type of Dam Sum Sing (body hardening). The practitioners would be considered different and strange by the rest of the body hardening community.
Unless there's actual fight practice going on, it's probably not a full martial art. (as treated by the book).

It's still practised today, albeit now they wear thick pants with layers of straw stuffed in them so it's nowhere near as brutal or deadly or infectious.
Shin kick, chagi.... body hardening? Not sure what else it'd have, heh. Maybe snap kick.

T'ieh Chou Kung (Iron Broom Training): Like the other types of "Iron Body" training, this one involves striking things repeatedly. The character kicks objects until the legs are conditioned to withstand heavy impact.
Bonuses: Add 2 to P.S., +3 to Maintain Balance. Trip/Leg Hook, Backward Sweep, and Circular Sweep now do damage (1D6, 1D6, and 1D8 respectively).
