Cost of scrolls

I was thinking about and I have never found a rule for cost of scrolls.
I have been going with 10% cost of spell as a rule because that is the default chance to learn.

Also.
How long should it take to learn from a scroll.
I have been using 3days per level of the spell to study, but allow them to buy 10 to learn it but.

Just wondering what you guys think.

Learning from a scroll is pretty much instantaneous... you read the scroll and try to force it into an incantation in that instant. I'm away from my books, however, so I can't tell about the costs.

Costs are listed on page 248 under the alchmist section

It's a single read though, as you read it the text disapears. Either you learn it or you do not.

or does trying to learn the spell on the scroll prevents the spell from working?

You have to specifically be attempting a scroll conversion.

You can only read a scroll once. If you cast it by reading it aloud, then you cannot attempt to translate it because that's basically doing two things at once. If you read a scroll to learn it, you have a chance of learning it (and being able to cast it at will thereafter), but you are too focused on trying to learn it to cast it at the time.

Palladium Fantasy, Second Edition.

Also note, that this forum covers ALL palladium games. if you don't tell us "I only play Rifts" or "I only play Heros Unlimted", ect., then we can only give you our best guess as to what game your looking at.

In Arzno its on page 61 (bottled miracles) However, that price should be considered artificially low because of the power of the provider.
