Tiger claw kung fu...

Unread post by Colt47 »

Can someone explain to me why the form is not effective against multiple opponents? It seems to have enough defense moves to get by against two or three guys on a glance and not too many martial arts have moves that hit more than a single target at once. :?

Probably because its designed to do attacks which do a lot of damage, but "leave you open" after you do the attack, at least in theory. With all the Escape Moves, Multiple Dodge, and Combination Strike/Parry though you would have useful defenses against multiple attackers.

Well it doesn't fail at the "Hard Hitting" part, that's for sure. I'm still looking on Youtube.com for a effective combat demonstration of the art so I can roleplay it better. Also, after taking a look at some of the techniques used by Satsumi sensei in Ninjutsu, the style is missing some of the modern anti firearms techniques. There is a sort of finger lock maneuver that is done to make a man actually pull the trigger on himself, thus the ninja leaves no finger prints on the firearm. As far as anyone could tell the guy would appear to have committed suicide. Scary, eh?
:-D

Had a friend make a ninja wrestler in our beyond the supernatural game. Yup, devoted martial artist with ninjutsu and wrestling from rifter number 3. Beware the terror that comes from the shadows and twists you up like a pretzel.

Tiger is attack at the expense of defensive posture making it poorly suited to multiple opponents unless they're chumps.
What a cruel thing is war: to separate and destroy families and friends, and mar the purest joys and happiness God has granted us in this world; to fill our hearts with hatred instead of love for our neighbors, and to devastate the fair face of this beautiful world. - R E Lee
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. - G Orwell
