I kinda like the Psi-Warrior. They seem pretty cool.

Sounds cool. :) What issue was that in?

For me, it's these three(3) in order of preferance:
1) Mind Melter

2) Psi-Nullifier

3) Astral Lord (From Nightbane Book: Beyond the Shadows- It ROCKS!!!)

Unfortunately, when there is a mage and a psychic that do the same thing in a PB game the mage does it better. While I agree that the Astral lord is a great idea..the astral mage is technically better. It annoys me a lot...enough that I never made an astral lord.

I rate the Nullifier over the melter in high magic games like rifts, but lower in games like HU. Which flows into my answer of which psychics are good: it depends what type of a game you are playing.

The Psionic Immortal from Mercenaries. Basically a Mind Melter and... Immortal :)

The sheer power of the Mind melter is quite attractive.

I do also enjoy the more subtle powers of the Psychic Medium, Diviner and latent from BTS-2.

Ummm, no. Each action with TK counts as one action.

1 psionic power use = 1 attack, and with the new casting rules it's really down to who wins initiative, the psychic or the mage. Now sure, the really awesome spells still take multiple attacks to cast, while almost all psionics only take one attack, so I'd still give the edge to a mind melter over a wizard-class in one on one fighting. The mind melter cannot even approach the damage levels a wizard-class can dish out though.

Your kinda right...the attacks are down to just 1 mental and 1 spell for 1 attack...that way its not so confusing...however, the plus side to even basic TK (can't remember super) is that you can affect up to 1 target per level...meaning that you can, if you spend enough ISP, TK a persons arm till it snaps while breaking anothers neck, and picking up a 2 ton car to drop on them, tossing a lamp post, breaking someone elses leg, etc...as long as your high enough level and you have the ISP.

Ya, sadly no psychics can match caster damage, but there more subtle anyways and not so much brute force.

My personal favorites would be Psi-Stalker and Mind Melter though...
