Belgian Takedown

Unread post by Rockwolf66 »

I was wondering what the rules for performing a Belgian Takedown(Rugby Tackle to the Brits) are in the Paladium System.

it's a Sentry removal technique that hopefully will soon be used in a game. My GM should read this as I am sure that they have no RL hand to Hand training.

That is a funny illustration where the soldier kicks the sentry in the jazz.

Successful prowl. Simple roll to strike (hands slip off ankles by some horrible stroke of bad luck). Maybe even roll to strike for the boot to the chongs, but I would let it go. The sentry loses his attack and definitely the initiative, so player gets to attack again. Presumably shutting the sentry up.

There is a small chance that the sentry is not a chump and shouts before his head impacts, however.

Critical Body Flip/Throw from Behind. A sneak attack that automatically does double damage (if successful).

The kick to the groin would be a seperate attack. I usually have such attacks result in damage plus a saving throw vs pain.

The sentry is likely losing all attacks for that melee round - maybe even unconscious for 1d4.
