Sky City in AtB
Did anyone catch this on Discovery? It was part of their "Extreme Engineering" series. I only heard about it in passing online and when I took a look at it, all I could think of is what if some of these things still stood in the AtB setting?

Actually, I think that the layout/design of the towers would be great for the spokes on Yuro Station (Mutants in Orbit).
Also make me wonder what other "Megastructures" might still be standing around the world...

Hmmm...a post-Fall/AtB arcology could bring new meaning to the term 'concrete jungle'..especially if mutant humans were the main predators....

Than the Sage among his Books,

Are to him but the Playthings of the Moment,
To be turned over with the Flick of a Finger,
And the Turning of a Page"

That was the basis for my idea for Mutants of The Sprawl, in the fanbook post. I pictured the towers' control centers as the last bastions of the defenders against the chaos of the Fall.

I believe one of the Rifters also features an Aberdeen Arcology in a description of Golden Age Britain....
NO mention of it in Rifts England, so we can assume its hold-out eventually ended...
But, yes, I can see mutant humans uniquely adapted to arcology lfe...like small statured, double-jointed, plastic-boned 'tweenwallers and nible-fingered fearless gargoyle lemur-like ledge-leapers.......

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of the inhabitants ending up as a xenophobic culture that has shut itself away from the outside world. Maybe still maintaining a society that reflects that from before the bomb in its use of EEGs for the creation and perpetuation of an oppressed mutant animal slave subclass.

Personally, I've always thought of doing Alpha Complex (from the Paranoia RPG) in ATB....or a darker, more serious one in RIFTS.

Like Skycity. Add London's London's mile-high vertical village to the upward Arcologies.
I hate it when my mind wonders,
Because I have no idea what it will bring back with it.
