Wow, it has been a crazy, non-stop, super-busy, a great deal accomplished, week.

We are so excited about . . . I was going to say Robotech, but EVERYTHING. Just have to get over our little slump, get some dang books out and zoom. Palladium will be rockin' and rollin'!!!!

Sorry, there wasn't much in the way of Murmurs this week, but I was buried in work. Check out the press release posted last night (Sept. 20, 2007) for more details.

Sorry, gotta run. We were supposed to leave for GallowsCon (fun times to be had) an HOUR ago!!!! Hope to see a bunch of you there.

GallowsCon – This Saturday – September 22, 2007

GallowsCon is this Saturday and we hope to see a lot Palladium fans come and have a great time. I, Kevin Siembieda, and Wayne Smith are guests at this one-day gaming extravaganza. I’m running three games (all the same Palladium Fantasy “Lord DeSilca” tournament) as well as being available to talk, sign autographs and sell books. We’ll have all the new releases, most “core” product, back issues of The Rifter®, prints and other goodies to sell in the dealer’s room.

Kevin’s Game Description
Game System: Palladium Fantasy RPG
Title: The Evil of Lord DeSilca
Number of players: 10 (less is okay, more than two extra people doesn't really work well)
Time: 2 hours, 30 minutes.
Player Characters: Pre-rolled character stat sheets are provided.
Prior Experience: Helpful but absolutely NOT necessary; players need only dice and imagination.
Description:
The Hook: Lord DeSilca is a wizard-king notorious for his cruelty, use of dark magic and association with demons. Thus, it is no surprise when a horrific plot to make himself a new Lord of Hades is uncovered. Lord DeSilca has made a terrible pact, and at the strike of midnight and with the sacrifice of an innocent life, he and the entire city-state he rules, and all the people within it, will be teleported to Hades to become his damned servants in Hell.
The Line: Thankfully, word has spread across the region and bands of heroes have come to stop this mad dream of Lord DeSilca. If the tyrannt ruler can be slain or the innocent to be sacrificed rescued before midnight, he can be stopped and the town saved. If he succeeds, the entire town and EVERYONE within its borders, houses, farms, livestock, and HEROES included, will be ripped from the world of mortal men and transported to the pits of Hell, where DeSilca will gain incredible power, become a Demon Lord, and the town a new realm of torment in Hades. The townsfolk are oblivious to their master's plan. The few who have heard the tale don't believe it. They can't believe that even Lord DeSilca could be so evil. Meanwhile, heroes great and unknown have come to fight the wizard-king. However, over the past week many have vanished or been found slain in the gutter. Other heroes search in vain for Lord DeSilca's secret lair. Each new clue seeming to lead to a dead-end or tragedy and death.
The Sinker: Time has nearly run out. There are only two hours left to find DeSilca and stop him! YOUR team of heroes pray that their last lead to the location of Lord DeSilca's lair is accurate. If it is, they hold the fate of the entire town and thousands of innocent lives in their hands. And remember, if DeSilca is not stopped, the heroes, along with everyone else, face eternal torment in the pits of Hell.
Players have TWO hours -- real time -- to save the day.
Note: I’m thinking about turning this into a downloadable adventure. What do you think?

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
