My only problem with splicers.

I only have one significant problem with the game, and it doesn't even stem from the game. It's my players, their too hard tech. They don't seem to be able to deal with all the free form creation. Rather than make a suit that fits them, they make one that fits a need, like the way technology does. Thats not the feel I get from splicers and it doesn't seem to work for them in game. For example, one of our characters was complete with his chosen fuction, hand to hand, at third level. Our stealth expert wont be there till lvl5 and our "sniper" wont be finished till 8th lvl.
this is what they do well too, their attempt to build their own style failed miserably.

To make up for this I did a rather drastic overhaul of the whole setting. I created specific HA for brand new OCC's, new types of standard biotics to fit their concept of cyborgs, and I'm starting on new war mounts to fit new roles. I even added a whole new RCC to the originals to help explain and work things out for them. Heck, I even made standard LBA for EACH OCC, new and old.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anyway help these guys get a push in the right direction, or should I just keep fabricting a whole new universe for them? Furthermore, what would you guys do? They love the system and the feel, they just suck at it. Normally I solve my own difficulties, however it makes me sad to see a forum with so many bright and talented individuals die and go to waste, speaking of, hows that Unofficial soursebook coming?

Personally I too thought about such things. But i found no easy answer. The Palladium Games are quite elastic and you're free to adapt to the game you've in mind with no problem whatsoever.
I love the idea of new type of Biotics and I occasionally posted them here(albeit with quite COLD welcome from the other FEW dweller of this board) So you could try searching my post on the board for some dieas if you want.

You always said so Misfit, seem to be your answer to everything

Joke apart it depend on what you and the player expect from the game. As well as their style of playing.

Whatever works for you... :)

Than the Sage among his Books,
For all the Empires and Kingdoms,
The Armies and Works that you hold Dear,
Are to him but the Playthings of the Moment,
To be turned over with the Flick of a Finger,
And the Turning of a Page"
