Dr. Hellstromme wrote:Speaking about classics vs new ideas, I would like to know if someone has tinkered with the followings:

Slime molds (or if I got the phrase wrong, I am thinking big, multi-cellular amoeboid thingies here). IMO they would be useful in underwater environments, also have limited shapechanging abilities (not like mimicking other critters, but forming tentacles and other appendages for example). They could be used for bio-tech equipment, host armor, maybe even sortof a war mount (definitely not for ride, but thats not in the definition anymore, is it?)

Splicer creations that mimic real, natural animals. I know about the Falcon, but I am thinking mainly host armor here. (I suppose that would mean quadruped host armor also, since its hard to do otherwise)

Here's one that I designed awhile back but haven't written any rules or back story for yet.

Single cell macro-organisms used in the construction of an underwater haven. They form a large semi-clear dome most of the time but are able to change the coloration of their cell walls to act as a sort of camouflage.

Splicer society is an oxymoron. Apart from sharing same technology and a desire to survive the machine conspiration, ALL Great House and human communities are a different society by themselves, with their peculiar prejudice and their unusual habits.

Comment: Lazlo and its supporters talk of Dbee rights. Can you even comprehend the plight of the untold billions of humans evicted from thier homes since their coming? What of their rights?

What about a amoboea organism designed to attack to metal power armor. Take a Samas for example. The amobea envelopes the entire aromor espeically the inside where a person would sit. From looking at the power armor it is undisceranble from nromal power armor as the amobea binds to the parts masking its presence. Make the amobea semi sentient so it coperates with the user. Maybe biofeedback linkage and what not. MOre advanced models bound with one owner after 1D4 years giving bonus to attack parry dodge. Since the enitre armor is enveloped by the amobea/slime the plague never takes affect.
I remember days like this when my father took me to the forest and we ate wild blueberries. More than 20 years ago. I was just a boy of four or five. The leaves were so dark and green then. The grass smelled sweet with the spring wind...For us, there is no spring. Just the wind that smells fresh before the storm.
