Technojackers and Bio-Tech

Unread post by LostOne »

Ok, I'm at work and don't have the book with me. But I have a few technojacker questions:

1. I remember it saying that Technojackers can't use bio-tech. Reasonable enough rule. However, what about the really simple stuff like the weapons that have been turned into MDC ceramic/resin by bio-tech? The way I remember that being described, the bio-tech changes the weapon and then there wouldn't be any bio-tech left, you're just left with the weapon.

2. Does a technojacker's bio-armor trigger the nano-plague if the technojacker touches a splicer? Or since the technojacker is immune to the nano-plague, maybe the nano-plague in the splicer can't even sense the technojacker? Would this include the heavy nano-armor even though that incorporates metal it still would be infested with the technojacker's mutated nanites.

3. Assuming 2 is answered that the splicers are ok to touch a technojacker's armor, could the technojacker extend it to other metal objects to protect splicers? Say the Technojacker is walking through a Great House (escorted, of course) but for whatever reason needs to bring in an 8 foot metal rod, could he keep people safe from the rod with his nanites?

1) Yes, TJs can use resin weapons, just not stuff like bio-e pistols.

2) His personal nanite armor is safe to touch because it's not functioning under it's normal command set. I've always extended that to include metal used in the heavy armor version while it's in use.

3) No dice on this one. Immunity is self only and even while the netal pole is being carried by a TJ, it's dangerous as all hell to the normal humans around him. However, if the metal piece were to be used as part of that armor from 2 ....

1) yes , because anyone can, but cna't merge with them as they are not techno-metallic
2)As Demos said(for the chronicle welcom back ol' Fella I missed my old nemesis  )
3) Well the metal object is safe as long as in PHYSICAL contact with the technojackers, but if he leave it for a moment could erupt a tragedy, so I doubt sincerely they would allow him to carry some stuff inside the great house(actually I doubt they would allow him inside it!) Thats why people fear T-jackers.
