A busy, productive day

A busy, productive day -- July 24, 2008

Today was busy, but we accomplished a lot, and that feels good.

- Wayne and I rented a truck for Gen Con.

- I finalized our hotel arrangements by dumpeing our one extra room and made corrections to our existing room reservations. We also talked about other plans and necessities for Gen Con.

- Wrote a new press release

- Answered a number of emails.

- Wrote a Robotech® Ad flyer for mail order & Gen Con (Wayne’s laying it out now).

- Reviewed new Robotech® art from our two new artists, Mike Majestic and Katrina Matravers; they both knocked our socks off. Their art looks FANTASTIC! (Don’t worry, Brian and Allen Manning are knocking out a ton of great art too.) I think 95% of the art in the Macross sourcebook will be totally brand new.

- The Robotech® Gold Edition signature sheets came back from Tommy Yune and I numbered the first 200 of the 500.

- I went through the mail, paid a few bills.

- I answered emails and spoke to a couple freelancers.

- I wrote this murmur and took care of some general business stuff. Meanwhile, Wayne, Alex, and the rest of the Palladium crew have been busy working away too.

Gen Con excitement

We’re getting pumped about Gen Con and have been making all the final arrangements and plans. We’re excited to have a bunch of new product for the convention, and this will be the first year we’ve run demos and games at the exhibitor’s booth (#501).

2009 Palladium Open House

We're even more excited about the 2009 Palladium Open House. A lot of Palladium’s freelancers are already committing to attending next year, and we are surprised at the number of early admission tickets sold at this stage. Cool, because it’s going to be a blast!

Hey, don’t forget, V.I.P. Thursday tickets go on sale July 31, 2008. They always go fast so get your order in as quickly as possible. Limited to 55 gamers. Sold on a first come, first served basis.

Kathy Simmons becomes
Palladium’s new Sales & Marketing Rep

My dear friend, Teresa Mead, is so successful and so busy with her own consulting business (she’s got more work than she knows what to do with), that she had to leave Palladium as our sales person. We are sorry to see Teresa go, but we ALL wish her well and we’re thrilled her business is taking off like a rocket! Way to go, Teresa. We are still pals and plan to keep in touch, so don't be surprised if you continue to see Teresa's name from time to time.

Palladium’s other dynamo gal, Kathy Simmons, is taking on the Sales and Marketing position, as well as other work at Palladium. Thanks kiddo, we appreciate your effort and hard work, such as tracking down a wonderful hotel for the 2009 Palladium Open House and other plans for the event.

Like I said, we are all pumped and working hard to get product on the shelves, make the last quarter of 2008 one to remember, and to make 2009 Palladium’s biggest year yet.

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
