I just tried to go to this site, I check it now and then. And it doesn't seem to be there anymore. Any ideas on what happened to it?

I'll have to pick up more silver rounds and have my blades electrocoated in silver.

The thing is if you still have access to the old website address you could probably find it on the "Way back machine". It's a great archival place for old websites.

It's been practically swamp stagnant dead for years, unfortunately. Perhaps Jason Vey (or whomever took care of the site) finally decided to call it quits.

When I tried to register it took the admins over a year to finally approve my account. It seems like whoever ran it lost interest in it a long time ago.

Pitty Now I'm wondering where else to go to get "Official" information about the Athanatos. The race as a whole does have alot of potential and not just for Nightbane. Heck, given that they are somehow related to the spirits of light I can see them in Palladium Fantasy or Rifts very easily.

Unfortunatly there's always questions that come up like: Can Athanatos learn spells normally?

Personally I would say only the Magus can learn spells normally. But that's just me. And by normally you mean like a Sorcerer right?

Jason Vey wrote:Yes, I nixed the site, as it's been effectively dead in the water for quite some time, and I wanted to focus on getting some boards up and running for my new company.

Oh, by the way...Hello! Yes, I still come here from time to time just to peek in.

Whilst this is completely understandable it still sucks ass. I enjoyed the place it was a wealth of info for NB. Good luck on the boards for your new company.

Well here's to hoping that Kevin decides to release it in a Rifter or something one day because all that sounds like it would be really interesting. I admit I like the half angel background idea there, but yea, I can see why they might decide to have you change that bit.

Either way thanks for coming back and giving us some insight here Jason.

About your old site Jason. You could post a link to it. We could always use the link over at the WayBack Machine to see what they have over on the archive.

Jason Vey wrote:In retrospect I should've spent more time on the psychics, secret societies (though there was a HUGE AMOUNT of stuff on secret societies that was cut...which is why there are references to the Illuminati peppered throughout the book, but no actual information about the group appears anywhere), and information about the Lightbringers and Nocturnes, and left the Athanatos with the 10 or so pages of the Rifter 16 article.

I'd love to show you guys the cut material, but it's no longer mine to give; SoL was work for hire, so that's all on Kevin's plate, now. At one point Wayne and I discussed publishing it (along with the errata such as the missing XP tables) in the Rifter or on the Cutting Room Floor, but then Palladium and I parted ways and it just kind of never happened.

well, now that PB published cut stuff from the original Dead Reign in the RIFTER, maybe its time to think about that again...with a new Nightbane-book in the can, its time to create attention for this excellent game!

Then I suppose there will be some stuff created out there based on the original work. We'll just have to keep out eyues out for it.
