actually, you have to take that series with a few tons of salt...they pass off speculation and outright invention as fact overfrequently.

i watched some of them on the web (they have thme at the shows website. but like most of these shows i went looking for information from experts, or at least those more knowledgable than me. (being just a well read layman myself, albiet a huge paleo-nerd)

second, since the mesozoicland dino's in ATB are GELF's (Genetically Engineered LifeForm's), created whole cloth, their abilities and behavior will by nature differ from what we determain from palentological finds. for example, the issue of metabolism. there is still debate ongoing about wether endothermy, polikiothemry, or some mid-way scheme was normal. but the ATB dino's were designed to be endothermic with rapid growth rates. and so on. and while behavior is only partly genetic, the fact the ATB dino's don't have paleo-DNA in them, combined with the learned behaviors in the enviroment of the zoo, means that the two clades will not always match behavior wise.
