Adventure Ideas? Hook, Line & Sinkers?
Hook: Lights, ie: electrical power, are visible in at night. (you'll need a special NPC for this one.)
Line: An almost too good-to-be true Haven community is holding it's own, with the luxury of Electricity! However, noone seems to know where it's coming from.
Sinker: Your NPC realizes that the power is coming from a nearby Nuclear Facility that wasn't shut down during The Wave, and will soon go critical! S/He has the skills to shut down the place, but to do that, you're going to have to sneak/fight your way past a horde of zombies, and then hold your ground while the NPC shuts down the plant before it goes Chernobyl!

In my opinion this thread didn't last as long as it should have. As the creator of YOPRG (Ye Old Post Resurrection Game) I use my telepathetic powers to Resurrect this dead thread. Thanks bar1scorpio for this cool thread idea!
Here is my submission.
Hook: The PC's come to the aid of a young boy.
Line: The young boy tells the PC's his parents have survived the wave and have barricaded themselves in a (insert place here. Farmhouse, mall, ect..). He says his mother is badly wounded and he has been sent to get help.
Sinker: The young boy is actually a mint condition mock zombie under the control of a thinker zombie. When the PC's enter to help his parents 3D100 slouchers will converge on the building.
The GM could add statements such as "It's quiet..Too quiet." to tip the PC's off a the last moment.
I hope more people will add to this thread.

Re: Adventure Ideas? Hook, Line & Sinkers?
Let's see if this might get some creative juices flowing!
Hook:The players have found a warehouse of food/M.R.E.'s
Line:Over half the food supplies seem to have rotted or spoiled, although none of the M.R.E.'s have been opened, nor past the expiration date. The players encounter a survivor, a Reaver who has seen better days. He tells a story about how he is the only one of his group left after finding a NEW Zombie, unlike the others! It stunk to high heaven, the same old attacks didn't seem to be effective, some falling and screaming in pain getting close to it, and it infected the others with something just by TOUCHING them. To punctuate the tale, the Reaver reveals a withered, rotting limb as opposed to the normal limb which looked healthy.
Sinker:The new Zombie is actually a Rotting Entity, see Rifts MadHaven for more on this monster. It is as intelligent as a Thinker or Mock Zombie, and is not here to feed in the normal sense. It too senses P.P.E., and is a competition to the Zombies. At the same time, they only attack it if they are attacked by the Entity first. It's one of the only creatures that can feed on the P.P.E. besides the Zombies, and they will sense if it absorbs and devours the energy from one of their kills. Even if its original body was destroyed by the Reavers, it could reanimate another corpse, including one of the Reavers that fought it!

Re: Adventure Ideas? Hook, Line & Sinkers?
Once again, I'd like to "Resurrect" this thread. I have no input right now, but the randoms in the book blow. If you run off those tables often, you'd have a party of 15 dogs, 30 children and an unconscious teen with a duffelbag full of newborns... FAIL.
Re: Adventure Ideas? Hook, Line & Sinkers?
Hook: The players find a survivor community centered around a water tower and a small water purification facility that still has power.
Line: While the players are staying in the community (prehaps providing defense or services), several townies start to get drastically ill. They go from healthy to deathbed almost overnight. The purification machinery is also sabatoged. The Townies blame the group, either running them out of town (after stealing any equipment) or try to kill them.
Sinker: In reality, a Death Cult has been sabatoging the water supply by actually dumping a few Slouchers INTO the water tower and letting them rot. The plan is to appear and "repair" the plant (and secretly removing the zombies) and get in control of the town.

Re: Adventure Ideas? Hook, Line & Sinkers?
Thanks for posting! How about this...
Small town trying to hold out against some sadistic raiders who are trying to kill them, not to mention all the zombies...
Heroes arrive on the scene, to see dozens of zombies wandering the streets while the townsfolk are barricaded in doors and the raiders are camped a few miles outside of town.
Sounds easy enough to solve... The bummer is, the leader of the raiders, Crazy Jim, doesn't want to raid the town, he just wants to kill everyone. So, they subdued and captured the dozens of zombies now in the town, and filled their guts with coffee cans and paint cans full of nails, bolts, silverware, TNT, Blackpowder, nitroglycerine, whatever you want to go boom. So that way, unless you get a clean headshot, there's a good chance of the the zombie exploding and possibly setting off a chain reaction! Unfortunately Crazy Jim isn't stupid, so he put helmets on the zombies! How fun!!! Also, to add some sport they have parked a propane truck on the main street and have lined streets with whatever various kabooms they could find. So, what are the characters to do? One bad shot and...
