viscious absorbers in the megaverse

first question i was thinking of bringing a few of these to my rifts earth
setting but are the ppe levels on earth high enough for it to just burn
10% of its ppe and mdc ever 12 hours or is it going to use 20%
second question is how small can these things be the stats in the book
are for an average adult and there king i think so i was thinking about
making them half of the lowest stats given in rifter 44 to start with
they will be brought in during the tolkeen war by some casters looking
for something to fight the cs with but they turned on them since the
cs soldiers didnt have any mdc or ppe to feed them
any thoughts on this idea will be welcome

The energy levels are too low so it would burn through 20%. This could also be the reason they were so difficult to control by Toleen's mages. The hunger is so strong that they just go wild and wade into the magic rich forces surrounding them. They would focus first on human mages for ease and convenience and then work their way up to the Daemonix Demons (likely they're preferred prey).
The smallest Absorbers are 20 feet tall (just stick to the lower end of the stats in parenthesis).
To me the easiest way to lose control of an Absorber is to have it our on patrol with a group of Shifter controlled demons. When the Shifter goes down, the Absorber takes out the rest of the team and then stalks the country side for more Tolkeenites. Since absorbed victims can be retrieved, I think it would make a great role-playing opportunity to make one of the victims an important figure in Tolkeen that needs rescuing. Maybe a high-ranking military member with important information or a retrieval team that captured a powerful magical item to be used in the war effort. Or maybe it absorbed an entire town of D-Bee civilians.
The key to using a Voracious Absorber in combat is to look beyond simple Godzilla-like monster stomping through the countryside. These things are crafty predators that use any absorbed abilities to their advantage. Why run down prey like a lion when they can turn invisible, shadow meld, or teleport to close in on their victims.

i can live with 20 ft tall was wanting it a little shorter but i can
work with 20ft
but have a new question what would you give for a base hp
and sdc for one of these if i wanted to move it to hu2 setting
working on a version for my hu2 game going to use him in a
version of the planetfall mission from the gm guide
in combat i was thinking they would at first go for single targets
fleeing mages and cyber knights then as its power level grows it
would move on to larger targets and groups and plan on using the
fighting style you listed for quiserraica that would make it a real
challenge

Hey Kevarin, my additonal 2 cents regarding the height parameter. You can actually get the Voracious Absorbers slightly under the 20 foot mark via the Absorbers versatile mobility via quadrupedal style or a more haunched biped. So its morphology and gait can be to the benefit of your uses. The key though is as Slappy said for the standard 20 foot mark. You can also use absorbed abilities to your advantage as Slappy stated to assist your ideas, plans & goals.

was wondering if anyone else ever used this race in there games
my group still hasnt gotten over the one i let loose in my hu2 game
and its made a great recuring villian in this setting had to drop its
power lvl some to fit the game im running but its been fun
made some minor changes to fit it to my game here they are
started him at 20 ft when standing upright on its hind legs
14 ft when on hands and feet
it gains 1 ft per person absorbed and it has been targeting
heroes with super , magic and psinoc powers and mega heroes
and it can access the powers and spells of the people it absorbes
it started with 200 sdc and 100 hp and a supernatural ar of 12 that was
there best chance to kill it and they did hurt it pretty bad befor it got away
in there first meeting and it has been comming back after them ever since
i have it gaining the sdc and hp and powers of the people it absorbes
which makes for some hard fights
it gains 1 ar every 100 sdc it absorbes to a max ar of 17
for absorption of people i have it fully absorbing a person every three days
but gave it the ability to pick one absorbed person and have it stored and
not absorbed but still acess its powers
every thing else stayed about the same just lowered the stats on most of it
now it gets fun this guy takes a little bit to get set up each time i use him
i roll a 1D20 to decide how many people are inside it at the time it decides to
show up then i roll a D4 to determin which of the 4 classes im using for its normal
targets then just use the random tables to determin what powers it has
this thing ends up with a ton of powers and is one hell of an villian and to make it interesting
the current stored super hero is our group leaders sister and it gave him the powers of teleport
and invisability and it loves using her against the team to hurt there leader its been really interesting

I LOVE IT! Hey, I thought you were releasing two, LOL. I see just one is doing a good enough job though. Great call as a GM. I can imagine their faces everytime this creature rears its face. What’s the worst or most memorable account they have faced with your VA?

This part is the fun side of dealing with a Kaiju designed by true players/GMs and fans of the genre. Now who said something about it being "easy" to waste Kaiju in HU, Rifts, etc.? The absorbing of close ones, teammates or powerful villains for that matter makes for intriguing role play and emotional bonds will be tested. Any plans on having your VA release absorbed heroes as wraiths later on...hmmmm?

was intending to have two in a rifts game it tends to be a higher power lvl game
my hu2 game is a little lower in the power lvl of the chars so i just stuck one on them
i forgot to put this in it can absorbe normal humans but will fully absorbe one person per day
they dont last as long as super beings
it has let wraiths out and has used them against this team best one to date is below
its been keeping a low profile and has been staying between 25 and 30 ft untill
it can find away off earth but when it decides to go hunting the team it can grow
to 40 ft
as for who is doing the hunting its been mostly picking off people that wont be missed then
it will go in to hunting mode will pick a small town somewhere and start clearing it out of people
local heroes and villians come to find out whats going on or to take advantage of the chaos and
they get absorbed when our team get wind that its shown up again they go after it and let the
games begin
best incounter i put on them was the last time it showed up it used the sister to draw them in
to one heck of an ambush i rolled a 1D6 to see how many days i would give it till our heroes
heard about it it only got 2 days to get ready so i gave it a low number of super beings it had
absorbed 14 people and gave it 6 super beings absorbed and one gave it shadow meld it let
5 wraiths out that were a mix of heroes and villians and kept the one with shadow meld inside
so when they came in to town they found noone in town and kept catching glimpses of the VA
all day but could never corner it when night fell they came around a corner and saw his sister
on her knees at the end of the street crying when he caled out to her she starting screaming
for him to run for his life and of corse he went running to her and then the wraiths jumped him
the battle that followed was pretty hard but they managed to fight off the wraiths then his sister
got up she told the players he should have run and then the big guy came up out of the shadows
behind her she turned walked back in to it it let out a soul blast down the street and they had to
jump for cover when they came out it just smiled at them and vanished
im still working on what im going to do to them next time it comes out

ok so i was asked by someone in my gaming group how i made the va i used
against them up and thought i was making it to hard on them so i let them
ready the va write up in the rifter and told them i had been holding back
so i made up one and didnt and let them watch (no more complaints)

It was suggested in the kaiju threads that Kaiju would be easily defeated in the Rifts and HU universe. Then came the challenge to us freelancers (Artists & Writers) to create daikaiju, and so we did. The thing I suspect most ppl underestimated was the fact that we ourselves are BIG fans fo both the kaiju genre and of Palladiumbooks, so we would naturally create worthy Kaiju to be the monsters their supposed to be accordingly,
Kevarin I think you are doing a wonderful, let me take that back, a SPECTACULAR job with the VA and you make me extremely proud with your rolls, story arcs and usage of the VA. I think most ppl think its is so easy to defeat the VA until the VA gets going and begins its predation process. A VA not only predates to competitively boost its power levels for territorial dominance, it naturally predates in order to survive as well, so the 2 instinctive prey drives coincide well together. In the HU2 setting I bet its even worse at times. I know some of the Players might be wondering what the heck is it going to take, but familiarity begets knowledge for the experience and there is a learning curve to deal with the VA if the opportunity presents itself. I am starving to here more!!!
ONE day we can see about getting more material complete for Maelstrom, so players can experience the horror & thrill of hunting, battling, studying and being hunted on Maelstrom where they can possibly tangle with the VA King, Quiserraica.
Just think, someone said that Godzilla could defeat Quiserraica,

thanks premier for an update i finally decided to give them a bone
there last encouter with the va was caught on a bank scurity camer
and our big friend has been shown on the news
shortly after our team was contacted by an alien that said it had information
on the va and they were going to meet with it to find out how to get the sister
back now of course that would have been too easy so they got to the meeting place
to see two vans there and the alien getting thrown in to a van and it drive off
a battle started with the people from the second van and after it was over
they found out it was a tst team from triton industries and there now trying
to catch up to the tst team befor they can make it back to there base

Thanks Kevarin for the updates! It's an awesome following!
I think you are handling the VA very well and I see it is panning out as a growing nemesis as it should be with any campaign. Obtaining or capturing the VA on film is a perfect way to help generate assistance for the group. Always a good feeling to engage a VA with some “good” help. It’ s a great opportunity to bring out the cross over team-ups that you occasionally see in Superhero stories, though it would be tragic and very lethal to lose such heroic help in the process to the VA as it can be who is hunting who. I have done this idea before and had an NPC kill a close friend of the Group one time to avoid the character’s powers contributing to the VA, though this did not go over well with the team’s alliance, thus the uneasiness of trust was intensified. Talk about arguments, that was one for the books whether characters if they can’t be saved or rescued should be slain/put out of their misery before they are devoured/absorbed by the VA. It came down to how epidemic the VA was. IF the VA was still in its minor stages then no, but if it was more so in a mega or ultra status then stop it from getting any additional power/minions even if it meant a few sacrifices or collateral damage. The way things look in your campaign you wont be having two VAs roaming around anytime soon
Speaking of which, talk about memorable faces, I wish I had a camera for the time when the Players fought a VA and were rescued and their injured were brung into a hidden Vault Hero infirmary, and the VA tracked/stalked them and showed up for some hungry revenge. Man…. the devouring was horrific, but the Players knew that each victim being devoured was giving the VA their supernatural attributes. Oh… man… talk about panic. They almost trapped the VA in the vault, but trapping it in the vault with numerous victims that had additional powers was a horrific thought. The debate on keeping it trapped in there at the expense of fallen others was a bold one, but it was reasoned that the VA would eventually bleed off after it couldn’t satisfy its intake and parish, but when they finally got the list of who all was in the infirmary, they realized just how bad a mistake they made and they had to go in and draw the VA back out. Talk about fears, it was worse than ALIENS. Fortunately several teams (Silverwolves, Harmonic Fist, & the Alien powered armored team of Ferret-Strikers) were assisting the group and eventually the VA battle was taken to a harsh cryo region where they were able to neutralize the VA. I wont get into how this started off on a colony offworld and how the VA trashed several Space vessels (2 destroyers & 3 frigates) before they got it onto a cryo moon several planets away, LOL. I tried to generate a team of hunters that would hire out and recruit others to hunt VA’s but the players did not bite, smirk. I almost had them with the access to magical alien power armor mechs to help, but idea didn’t close when they still thought about trying to do it in space and on offworlds.
Please keep us in tune Kevarin, I am curious about the alien you have added and how the players pan out with freeing the sister.
I wonder has any one else been bold & brave and crazy enough to try the VAs in their campaigns?

the alien is a xenopus with psionic powers it had been a slave but managed to break free and steal a small ship ended up crashing it on earth and has been running from triton industries tst teams since the crash
the ship was an atorian scout and exploration ship the xenopus hid in the ship till after launch
and then caught the 2 running the ship by suprise and managed to take them out
without too much damage to the ship
but he didnt know how to operate the ship and it was running at ftl speed so he just went along for
the ride and when it got close to earth the nav computer droped it out of flt but ihe didnt know how
to land the ship and the best he did was a controlled crash
the xenopus spent the trip reading mission logs one of the mantella had been updateing the log
and left it open when he was attacked the log and data files had just been updated at port with
the complet information gathered by the atorian exploration command and in those files was
information on the va that the atorians had gotten from an encounter with a va and data found
on a world destroyed by just one va
the xenopus knew how to use a data pad and after searching found one and downloaded the
exploration data files in to it
and when it saw the va on tv he remembered seeing it and looked it up and knows the earth is in
serious trouble not trusting the government hes gone looking for the heroes team to tell them what
he knows
thats how he got caught he thought he had found some people he could trust to help
look for our heroes but one of them turned him in to triton for some money and gear
now why triton is after him see he had a basic understanding of how a data pad worked
but when he tryed to dowload the files them actually transfered them to the pad and when
triton found the remains of the ship the computer files were gone and the log showed the
transfer of information and the darclons want that pad
ok thats the back story now what happened
we didnt get to really play this section out yet but they did manage to free him
was a good chase ending in a battle in a safehouse the alien was hurt badly but luckly they know a doctor that helps mutated animals that are hiding from the athorites and they were taking him there to try and save him
for fun i have been doing the alien with bad english he keeps saying you must export the body from the taker
when ever he comes too they have figured out the taker is the va but not the rest of it and they found the pad
but its in mantellan and they cant read it
thats as far as we have gotten lately but might work on it again soon

WOW!!!!! Talk about mindblowing Gaming this is Awesome!
I like the deep backrop and history that is inwinding and how the VA's history across the Megaverse continues to expand and grow. With more worlds encountering VAs I am sure the resistance is going to mount more & more to begin attempts to stopping them. I see your game as an epic game that I would love to continue to hear and read more on and stay intuned with. The updates are episodic and I wonder just how the players are doing now and if they have gotten any further with the little fellow? Any chances of the players getting assistance from other Super teams with the VA? What are the news reports reporting on thiss thing? Anyone try going to hunt it down? Where is it hiding out at?

my players moved away was playing with my wife my brother his wife and oldest kid brother moved to south texas so can only play when he comes back up for holidays sorry im about to start playing with two guys i work with so might try throwing this same story arc on them and see how they handel it

Premier have a question my new group is going to start a rifts game not a hu game so had to make some changes
but now this is my sneaky va hunter side coming out if the va had an adult great horn dragon in it could it make use of its
change to human powers ?
first thing i did was ask ok who wants to be the unit leader for this band of soldiers my wife flat out said not me
(she knows me all to well and called me a few choice words when our big friend showed up ) so my friend from work took the job and got to be the lucky guy who had gotten married i felt sorry for him and what i was about to do to him .
ok now for the begining of this new story have a small group of cs soldiers returning to there normal area of operations after being called away during the tolkeen war the unit consisted of one cs special forces soldier the commander of the unit,
one cs commando and one cs psi-ranger.( this is a cs ranger with the psi-powers of a psi-archer ) and a cs juicer played by me for giving pushes in the right direction when i need to.
everything was going fine and they were just about home when there comm channels lit up and there town was under attack
each one was piolting a cs scout rocket cycle and they were 45 min away at top speed so they hit it and made best speed to town and set down just out side of town and made there way in on foot. when they got to the base they found the bases two spider skull walkers destroyed and the bases skelbots scattered around the area ripped in to pieces. the base was empty so they made there way in to town toward the unit leaders house (he decided to live off base ) and what do they find when they get there . one 20ft tall bundel of badness holding his wife and another person his wife is screaming for help but stops and gets a blank look on her face as she gets pushed inside the VA at this point the commando opens up with his hell fire plasma cannon and the psi-range makes her psi-bow and starts giving cover fire while the juicer runs up to the VA to try and get the leaders wife actually let him grab her hand before the VA swated him away and smilled droped the other person and took off down the street and around the corner takes the leader a second to compose himself then they give chase and when they make the cornner its gone tracks just stop. nothing but human size tracks from people running down the street they start going down the street very carfully checking down side streets and alleys talking by comm. juicer gets them going on what if she isnt dead and they can get her out somehow so now its head shots only unless they have no choice if they hit the body might kill her if shes still in there after a few min of this they hear screaming comming a few streets over and when they get there its the VA about to make a snack out of a few more people it has cornnered at the end of a alley and between them and the VA is the leaders wife standing in the alley about 10ft from the VA when they start down the alley she starts screaming and the VA turns around and the players open up on it do some decent damage befor the wife gets in the way backs up to the VA and is melds back in to it then the VA does the soul blast down the alley and when they come back up from cover its gone again. they start looking for it again at this point the psi-ranger starts saying she thinks the wife is possesed she had that look to her after a few more streets of looking they hear sounds of a battle but they dont hear weapons fire they hear the sound of magic spells landing when they get there they find whats left of a group of mages that were trying to kill the VA but they didnt do so good all but one are dead and he wont last long when they get to him he tells them about the VA how it was brought here by mistake and it must be stoped when asked about the people it absorbes the mage tells them thay can be saved but dies before telling them how
thats as far as we have gotten but was a good run

Kevarin,
That is some very creative very appropriate usage of the VA. That's exactly what we had in mind. More than just a dumb predator, it uses the powers it acquires and the victims as shields to make enemies hesitate to attack. We love this aspect! We also see no reason not to use human metamorphosis as it makes it all the scarier. We are very interested in seeing how a VA does in the Rifts setting, glad you found a players group to restart things.

. Your wife must really hate VAs now, oh… how we love it. The City session is awesome Kevarin! I love how you have harvested the art of the VA residing in city habitat & yet predating the citizens & hiding exceptionally well somewhere within the city. What an awesome campaign genesis you have going already. I would like to see about getting more activity on this thread so that others can also experience the Vas & your ideas. So I will likely start a topic on another thread to generate some more posts as well.

only thing i really did diffrent from my first va was to switch it to mdc and alltho it can absorbe normal humans
to hold off its hunger to gain mdc the being absorbed must have mdc not hp/sdc this one started with 3000 mdc
but was hurt during the fight with the spider walkers and lost about half its mdc (damage and beings used up in soul blasts)
it now has a mdc of 2000 and its been using the dragons regen powers to heal up between fights
one thing i did was when it changes it jumps foward while changing so if your tracking you see big va tracks then nothing they just stop and if your in a city with dirt streets the human tracks got missed mixed in with all the others on the street
and this hasnt been noticed yet my wife is playing this va like she did the last one thinking its either using teleport or invis to get away. but hasnt figured out the new way its hiding after the battle in the alley there were 4 people at the end of the alley that saw the va change in to a little girl and run into a building but the players didnt stop to ask them they just took off running to try and find it again. which was upseting i had a nice little thing set up for the young boy in the group to tell them and i didnt get too o well save it for later maybe he will start looking for the team to tell them the important information he has
now from last weekend now to give you an idea how big this city is im using the kingsdale map from juicer uprising and
most of this has taken place in the south east cornner happy days inn was where the cs base and hanger was and the comanders home was south of there. since i had the group going the right direction i took this chance to move the juicer out of the group and just concentrate on giving them hell with the va so he ran off to get help and try and use the radio at city hall to get some support headed there way. now when in human form i have the va using blocking powers so it cant be detected so there searching street to street alley to alley and had one small fight with a street gang all the while not thinking that it can be inside the buildings too so the va has been watching them to see how they think it allso knows where there at now and is doing hit and run attacks now it will see where there at and witch way there going and move off in a diffrent direction and fake being hurt or scared. some kind soul allways comes out of hiding to help the little girl and then its absorbing time. depending on the number of people it may have changed back to the girl before the team gets there and just hides and watches which way they head off in and goes the other way but it cant leave anyone alive anymore or they might find out what its up to they have caught it feeding twice but it has been deploying the comanders wife to watch its back and has been in 3 fights since then the last one it and the team wasnt expecting (the reinforcements have arived ) this happened right near the end of our secion but another small group of cs soldiers have shown up the long range scouting unit allmost the same makeup as the players team a psi-stalker two commandos and a special forces soldier and they dont care that our commanders wife is in it they want the va dead so now its a race between the growing number of cs soldiers that just want the thing dead and the players trying to save the commanders wife if thay can we ended the night there not sure this va will live much longer unless it leaves the city theres at least two more teams of mages and one more unit of cs soldiers either hiding from it or hunting it right now

ok so i pickedup splicers and i made a few changes to the splicers and made a new badguy race and decided to work them in to this game. so the two cs teams split up and keep searching for the VA little bit of the same as befor run and shoot but after awhile the team starts getting low on e clips so start heading back toward the base to rearm. they get about half way there and they hear a hole bunch of screaming weapons fire and what sounds liked dogs barking. they move toward the saunds of battle when at the end of the street they see what i called the meanest dog any of them had ever seen(gore hound) smelling the ground like its following a scent it was big 4ft at the shoulders and looked like it was covered in armor and spikes. at this point it looks up looks down the street sees them growls starts barking and charges the team which decides opening fire was a good idea and they got in a few hits befor it got in range and it did a running leap attack and hit the commando knocking him on his butt the fight starts at close range and the hound is doing a decent job on them then a little girl they had seen a few times while looking for the VA walks in to the street and the hound lets out a spine chilling howl and charges the little girl at the same three more hounds come running from the other end of the street right past the team (didnt even notice them) at that point the team started to move to try and save the girl at that point the girl lets out a roar and changes to the VA ( wife came up with a few new names to call me at this point i told them the VA had been within 20 ft of them about 6 times)
the team is really beat up gear and ammo about shot so they decide retreat is in order so they take off down an alley in the general direction of the cs base. at this point they run in to whats left of the other cs team and two roughnecks they decide to hide and watch the roughnecks are picking over the remains and talking and then move off in the direction of the fight with the VA. at this point they know at least what there after they want the VA for some reason and they have decided that isnt a good idea and have made it back to the base to rearmor and reload at this point i gave them a little help three cs soldiers were at the base have joined them. the team moved out and made there way back to where the fight was going down and find the leftovers of a few hounds and one roughneck after there sd devices went off after the VA had killed them
at this point the secion ended and i think my new twist worked out good
for a side note the splicers in this setting are evil to the extream and the dreadguard are parasitic host armor that have there own mind and use people as food and hosts for the armor to start out on they want the VA for its dna/rna to add to the genepools can you think the chaos a host suit would cause with the abilits of the VA to absorbe people for food and gain there powers if they have any thats what im shooting for anyway team has about three secions to stop them and theres one archangel, a few roughnecks and a very pissed off packmaster with two gorehounds in there way now and here is a like to the post on the splicers better explains what there about

there in rifter 44 and its the monster on the cover basiclly giant beast that absorbes its enemys
rather than eat them and can access the powers of the things it absorbes it allso gains mdc and
size from the things it absorbes and can releace them as soldiers to fight for it i modifed them for
the games i run but not to much from the basic design but there mean and if played right can give
a group nothing but hell
for an update the cs soldiers in above story got captured and the splicer forces got a sample of the VA's
dna the soldiers are currently in a transport pod under a dracos winged hydra transport with about 50 other
children and adults moving toward splicer controlled lands (washington and northern idaho) if they dont get
free soon theres a chance they could be lunch for the host armors guarding the transport

did it make people shake in ther boots and crap there pants i just loved that rifter sad to
think they left some out
iv been using the viscious absorbers but im about to start using the gulgoth as a modified splicer host armor troop
transport my bad guys only have 12 one at each main base and two at there capitol city but i liked the idea of a oversized bioorgance troop transport and thought it might fit good with a splicer type enemy

The Gulgoth was incredible! All the entries that made it in were great. Almost all the monsters that made it into Rifter #44 originated in the Giant Monster contest on this forum. Mine was The BonePile. He was made for an alternate Heroes Unlimited Earth that the groups and BonePile took and borrowed a lot from other books as well. I scoured through Mystic China, Rifts, HU, Nightbane, almost every game system Palladium has to cobble him. The setting and actions could also be seen by some as controversial.

another question has come to my mind if a va absorbed a Gulgoth that was fully loaded with troops should it absorbe the troops in the gulgoth too or could they fight there way out of the va
now that could be one heck of a wraith to let out ?
ooo and for anyone following the players have made it to the splicer base and have been unloaded in to the holding pens waiting to be interigated or feed to the host armors
since there the first living cs soldiers to make it there they will be questioned first
and since they never really looked around they never saw the little girl sitting in the back of the transport with a really pissed off look on her face and since they were more interested in
looking at the warmounts and the gulgoth in the hanger bay to notice that she had disapeared
(very pissed off va on the loose in a splicer base)
the va dna has been added to the gene-pools and the engineers and librarians are working on making a new host armor out of this dna will take a few days here is what i came up with so far on it

I think you are being generous by allowing the librarians to figure out the very alien DNA, isolate, and exploit it within a few days. It seems to have taken generations to upgrade designs from living body armor to dread guard armor to host armor. Then again, it is also entirely feasible that the librarians have been holding back their full computing potential in order to disguise their true strength.

there armor is a little different than normal host armor instead of a pilot the armor is alive and moves on its own so they dont take apart the viscious absorbers dna to add it to a suit of host armor its more taking the va dna and adding some human traits and tweaks to the dna to change it to what they need
now that said i should have been a little clearer on the next part in a few days they can try the first test on the dna it will be added to a host parasite and attached to a human at the lower back area over the next few days it grows attaches to the hosts spine and and gains access to the hosts brain ( how it learns) and begins growing up the back along the spine when ready the host is taken to a transformation pod and the parasite will consume the human as fule to make the new organism a suit of living bio armor
some times they get it right the first time sometimes what grows from the parasite is less than what they hoped for and the
armor is destroyed and they try again to these people humans are just food and test subjects so killing a few humans to get it just right is no big thing and all part of the process

ok trying to work out chances for what happens when the test is over and the pod is opened
have the following and looking for any ideas on other things that could go wrong
total failure - organism and human are dead
parasite dies human is scared and in extream pain
blob with arms and covered in armor will try and kill anything it can get its claws on
organism takes the desired form but is a feral monster and acts on instincts
organism takes the desired form but the human host retains control
total sucsess oranism takes the desired form and the parasite has control
any other ideas would be welcome

Boy I see you have been a busy GM indeed! There is much for me to reply to but I will speak more later. To the above question or inquiry for more ideas, smile, you are talking to an old school GM who loves to get the hearts racing smirk...
A.) the proto-larvae seem docile enough in the beginning of the process but the subject eventually explodes once large enough and the pieces fly everywhere and into everything & everyone not protected by a field. Pieces slither quickly as in surprisingly fast into crevices, vents, cracks, etc., and the results could be serious trouble for both the Players & the House. This is the cost for tampering with VA DNA. Trouble for both sides of the coin make for very interesting unforseen details in a campaign. This gives you the GM the ability to test various VA DNA/RNA constructs and aborations out, and yet the players aren't overwhelmed as the House is also trying to ferret out, catch, contain & exterminate or study all of these critters or juggernauts. Being that they are VA derivatives, they could also be cannabilistic when they consume one another, taking on the principles of the consumed along with their own to build & solidify into various versions of the VA, as it is survival of the fittest. I could easily visualize a pantherine styled VA developed from hunting through the havenous tunnels & catacombs. Talk about sealing off the Genepools, boy don't let these slithering nasties slip though or burrow into the pool.
B.) The VA prototype develops rather quickly but yet very difficult to understand as it is still vastly apart from any liveform the Librarians would have encountered, studied or heard of. Eventually the Librarians slip more into the greed of wanting more knolwedge & meglomania slips in, seeing the potential of delving into unknown biotechnology territories and eventually one Librarian merges with the prototype to better understand its special project and boy do things get interesting from there as the VA usurps the Libarian and saps its intelligence and memories. This brings the VA up to date to its new surroundings and gains the benefits of the Librarians wealth of knowledge. This opens the door for the VA to become a nasty and very crafty nemesis, even using and puppeteering an infected captive(s) to push its agenda(s).
C.) The prototype develops into a VA creature of biotechnology that becomes adapted to absorbing Bio-E within a certain radius, thus shutting down or stagnating Bio-E users, Host Armor enhancements, defenses, arsenals, and Warmount prowess significantly. This thing could actually make the Librarians and Engineers within its vicinity, sick, temporarily insane or slip into comas which could really make a House go into panic in a hurry.
BTW, loving the continous update & read of the chronicles of the campaign you run with the Players & the VA. The Glugoth I think would make a nice addition to the campaign and the Splicers Warmount list.

the way this was going to play out and still might if we can get to playing again work and othre things have been keeping us from playing was
the group leader was going to become a human controlled VA host armor the psi-ranger will remain but the cs commando is dead eaten by a host armor (player moved away ) but was going to try a new race i had been working on now i dont know the new race was going to break them out of the splicer base as a very very upset VA tore the base apart but not sure what or when this will start up again

o by the way love the ideas i thin i can use the a option to help my players escape
and i know the VA will be absorbing the Libarian but its going to do this more to
throw the base in to a panic
i like the disruption of bio-e idea but may be a little over kill may go for bio-e weapons
having no effect on it the VA armor just absorbes the energy or maybe instead of the
soul blast give it a bio-e version of the bugs in systems failurs electrical disruption blast
that could be cool and not too over powering

NVM, found it on page 80
