Yep, it has taken months of behind the scenes contract negotiations and meetings with artists, TMNT creators, celebrities, and a whole lot of other work. Whew, but it is worth it because these books, the color, the special artwork, miniatures, dice, etc., are all gorgeous. We cannot show you everything even in the Kickstarter, because much of it is pending final approval or in the process of being created. But everyone who has seen samples of what we have in production, including Kevin Eastman, Sophie Campbell, Freddie Williams, and Paramount are loving what they see.

As for Sean and I, we are over the moon. We practically fell over when Kevin Eastman offered to do a new painted cover. And when he told us Peter Laird would contribute to the project as well, Sean and I were hooting and hollering as we hopped up and down the hallway. Alex thought we were crazy until we gave him the great news. The art is beautiful. The digital painting is glorious. The Kickstarter exclusives are a wonder.

I cannot begin to explain how much TMNT and TMNT & Other Strangeness fan love has gone into every part of this Kickstarter and the many rewards. Not just from me and Sean, but from Kevin and Peter, Freddie, Sophie, and every artist, writer of remembrances, and other famous contributor. Most are super-fans!

Palladium Collectibles – at Kevin’s Online Toy & Collectibles eBay Store

Original art – My Ebay store is one of the few places where you can find original artwork by me (Kevin Siembieda), Kevin Long, Charles Walton, and others, as well as one-of-a-kind negatives from classic Palladium books (they look awesome framed), and other Palladium memorabilia.

Collectibles include Palladium limited edition hardcovers, out of print items, signed books, one-of-a-kind proofreader copies, art prints, posters, comic books, Star Wars toys, superhero action figures, and many other toys and items from my personal collection. Yeah, I used to be a crazy toy and art collector. Hundreds of items. Take a look every weekend or two for new additions.

One-of-a-kind Palladium Books negatives (special and rare collectibles). Negatives are always very popular items at the Palladium Open House, Gen Con, and conventions, and are catching on as rare collectibles, unique in and of themselves. Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed. The plastic film negatives were then “ganged” on a massive sheet of Mylar, 16 pages per big sheet, and the printing plates were made from the negatives – everything white, printing black. We have been cutting them loose and making them available to you. I am only keeping a few dozen pages of negatives and a few complete books for myself, the rest are all being slowly offered to you, in no particular order.

Each negative is truly unique and resembles woodcut art.
It is a piece of Palladium Books and RPG history you will treasure.
Each was used to print the very book you may have in your collection (1981-2004).
Each signed in silver ink by Kevin Siembieda, the founder and owner of Palladium Books.
Each signed negative comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

More than anything else, we are asked: “Do you think you’ll ever bring the TMNT RPG back? I loved it and lost my books ages ago.” Variants of this refrain include, “Please bring back the TMNT RPG. I loved it when I was young and now I want to play it with my children, but I don’t have those books anymore;” and “I have heard so much about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness RPG, I would love to play it. Can you bring it back?” Yes. We are.

When Sean joined Palladium Books, one of his very first questions was, “How difficult do you think it would be to bring back the TMNT and Other Strangeness RPG? I think fans would go crazy if we did that.” I told him, I know you’d love to see it back in print and that it is something I had wanted to do for a long time. With Sean onboard we reached out to the I.P. holder to secure the license.

We are thrilled to be able to bring it back to you as two beautiful, deluxe, full color hardcover collections. Each piece of artwork digitally painted with love and care, plus new art by a host of renowned comic book and RPG artists, remembrances from Kevin Eastman, Peter Laird, Sophie Campbell, Freddie E. Williams II, me, Sean, and dozens of others. That’s in addition to all kinds of bonus material and Kickstarter exclusives that, as TMNT fans ourselves, we know you will love.

This is a passion project Sean and I have been working on in secret for many months. The remastered books collected into two quality hardcovers and Kickstarter rewards will be released next year, in 2024. Ideal timing because 2024 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book debut. Timing that feels perfect.

We are also thrilled to make one of the late, great, Erick Wujcik’s role-playing game masterpieces available again. Only this time with all the bells and whistles and awesomeness it deserves.

On a personal level, it’s been a treat to reconnect with my old friends Kevin Eastman, Freddie E. Williams II, and others, and it is wonderful to have Peter Laird and other Mirage Studio creators working with us again. Plus we’ve gotten to meet a whole new generation of talented artists and creatives who are as passionate about these books and the Ninja Turtles as we are.

For Sean, it is a thrill of a lifetime. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness is the game that hooked him on Palladium Books’ RPG worlds. See some of his thoughts below.

What Kevin said is true. TMNT & Other Strangeness wasn’t the first RPG I played – that was the D&D “big red box” – but it was the first that I personally ever owned. And I loved it. I still do. That’s why this new reissue is a massive passion project that I couldn't be happier to spearhead. Kevin has been very patient with me every step of the way as I pestered him about contacting Paramount (Kev knew the right timing), I got excited way too early in negotiations (again, Kev's a pro), and did my passable best to maintain my cool in video meetings with Kevin Eastman, Freddie E. Williams II, Sophie Campbell, and others (Kev’s used to it). I will have to write more about it all soon. In the meantime, please pardon me as I need to get back to feverish work.
