Something special, Garden of the Gods™. From time to time, a truly inspired and epic sourcebook is released. One that stands out above the rest. I always put my best effort into every game and sourcebook Palladium publishes, we all do, but every so often there is one that exceeds everyone’s expectations, even us guys creating it. The Garden of the Gods™ is that sourcebook. As I’m writing sections, I’m thinking, “Wow, this stuff is awesome. People are going to love this!” Editors Alex, Wayne, and everyone who reads any part of it are blown away and start talking about how they could imagine this and see that in their own games. They immediately get swept up into the storied history of the Garden, the gods, and the world, the way lost gods are restored, the multitude of blessings (I think more than 120 when I’m completely done), the vast number of magical artifacts in the descriptions for the Forgotten Gods, and all the rest.

I’m not even sure how many magical artifacts and blessings there are yet, because in addition to the Blessings normally available from any deity, there are a few unique ones for every Lost God. Holy Weapons and magical artifacts for each too! I’m working on this last hunk about the gods right now and going wild with it. All of it much expanded from what you see in the outstanding Garden of the Gods™ Raw Preview. (By the way, we still have a few dozen of those available for sale and put aside for Surprise Package requests.) Including the Forgotten Pantheon of Aco and the Juggernaut which reveals more about the battle between the gods and the Old Ones. I have to thank my pal Hendrik for suggesting their inclusion in GoG, since the gods were named, but not described in the Dragons and Gods sourcebook.

My enthusiasm and divine inspiration from the RPG gods is one reason Garden of the Gods™ has been delayed, and another is that the book has grown to nearly double in size from the original manuscript. Yep, it is going to be a big 192 or 224 page book. The ideas for gods and opportunities and toys for players (magic artifacts, blessings, miracles, etc.) just kept flowing and were so good I could not make myself stop. The end result: a big, gorgeous, powers and revelations-filled book that will blow your socks off and out the door. I’m trying to contain the Garden of the Gods™ Fantasy sourcebook to 192 pages, but it might end up a 224 pager. And I suspect some of Matt’s adventure material will get bumped to the Lopan™ sourcebook, next year. We have the book tentatively scheduled with the printer as we work at a frenetic pace to get it done and to them by next week for a mid-December ship date.

This enthusiasm is extending into Land of the Damned™ 3: The Bleakness, Titan Robotics, and all our titles. Don’t forget, Land of the Damned™ 3 Raw Preview is available now.

These titles and several others are NOT forgotten and are in various stages of active production or waiting for production. As always, just because a book is not specifically listed in every Weekly Update, it does not mean it is discontinued or in limbo, it means there are more immediate things to talk about or there’s no substantive news to report. We are anxious to put as many of the books you’ve been waiting for into your hands as possible over the next 18 months. That includes Rifts® Disavowed™, Chaos Earth® First Responders™, Rifts® Antarctica, Rifts® CS Arsenal™, Rifts® Living Nowhere™, Beyond the Supernatural™ sourcebooks, more Fantasy sourcebooks and other titles. So if a book you are waiting for is not mentioned in an Update, it means there is nothing new to report, but it should still be in the pipeline and news for it will be coming in the weeks or months ahead. Right now, we are focused on releases for the next six months, which by our count is 6-7 titles. And many of them are in various stages of production or development.
