I have been writing like a fiend. Most of my time has been spent working on the Rifts® Bestiary™ and I'm thrilled to be reaching the finish line for this title. The book is really something, an array of monsters and animals for use by players and Game Masters alike, as well as offering adventure hooks and ideas. Coming soon! And it's awesome.

I have also approved more sketches for In the Face of Death™ (Dead Reign™/Zombie Apocalypse), and worked with Wayne a bit on The Rifter® #83 (spring release) and #84 (summer release); both are going to be excellent issues. Among a few other things. We are all very excited about upcoming book releases.

We are thrilled to see the high level of excitement for the Rifts® Titan Robotics™ Raw Preview Edition and Garden of the Gods™ Raw Preview Edition. I spoke to the Printer and they expect to get us the books by the middle of next week! Remember, both are limited to 150 copies, and sold on a first come, first served basis. UPDATE: Rifts^® Bestiary, Volume One

Could the monsters known as Caterpillar Things be the larval form of the Mothman appearing in Bestiary, Volume Two? Are Darkhounds really magically mutated Dog Boys? Is that why they see Coalition soldiers as friends and allies? Ee-Bee Gee-Bees are kinda cute, so how dangerous can they be? What on Rifts Earth is a Field Reaper or a Glitcher? You'll be finding out soon.

The artwork and ideas Chuck has been kicking out for this book (and Volume 2) are phenomenal. We'll be posting some of it in the Updates. I have been writing like crazy. While I have spent some time on other titles to keep them moving along and books coming out in rapid succession, my primary focus is the Rifts® Bestiary and I am back to working on it almost exclusively as of this morning.

I have been on fire and picking up speed on the writing for Rifts® Bestiary™, Volume One. I think Chuck has finished all of his art tweaks and I'm having a blast with the updating and detailing of the monsters you think you know, as well as the new ones. It has been a joy revisiting these creatures and making them come to life for you in new ways I know you will enjoy. Working hard to wrap this puppy up and get it into your hands as quickly as I can.

The two upcoming Rifts® Bestiary™ books will be great resources for players and G.M.s alike, with creatures that can be used as familiars, pets, riding animals, guard animals, and in some cases, even unlikely allies. Others are slobbering monsters or malicious predators who include humans and D-Bees among their prey. All will give you plenty of spice to add to your characters and adventures. And each has a map that shows at a glance exactly where to find these beasts.

This title, Rifts® Bestiary™ Volume One, and several other books are really coming together. In the Face of Death™ will be a spring release.

UPDATE: Garden of the Gods^™

Chuck Walton and I figured out the cover layout and we're all excited about this title coming soon. Just one of several we plan to surprise you with (like Lopan and the long awaited Land of the Damned Three – oh yeah). Garden of the Gods™ is going to be unique and fun, and the Raw Preview Edition gives you a great idea of what you can expect when the finished book is released later this summer. We cannot wait to get all these books into your hands.

UPDATE: Rifts^® Antarctica^™ finished cover

I still can't get over that awesome John Zeleznik cover. Makes me want to get the books finished and into your hands more than ever. Spoke with Carmen who is tweaking the manuscript and adding some material and he's happy with his progress on the book.

I think Rifts® Antarctica™ is going to surprise and delight a lot of people. It is also a great example of the fun you can have with the Raw Editions. The sold out Rifts® Antarctica Raw Edition is a far cry from what the finished book is going to be. Those of you who bought the Raw Edition get a glimpse at Palladium's creative process. When you compare the two, you'll see what we kept, what we eliminated, what we added and what and how we embellished the material to reach the creative finale of the finished book coming this summer. Fun and educational for those of you who aspire to be writers yourself or just like to have the inside track at Palladium. And true of all Raw Editions vs the finished book.

As noted earlier, I reviewed the Rifts® Chaos Earth: Psychic Scream™ sourcebook manuscript with an eye for the artwork that needs to be assigned and for what I will want to add or embellish. Writer Taylor White is one of those guys who always sends my creative energy revving into overdrive. I love this book. Shooting for a spring release. Above is the finished cover.

There is a ton of news in this Update as Palladium gears up to bust some moves. Our glorious new website and updated product catalog were just the first two steps, and the Rifts® iOS stickers for Apple devices were just something fun we couldn’t turn down when the opportunity came our way. We have a lot more exciting things in development and they are almost all books. And this week I feel like I did a little work on all of them. Like what, you ask? Take a look at this.

- Work on Rifts® Bestiary™ continues, but that goes without saying.

- In the Face of Death™ (Dead Reign®/Zombie Apocalypse), did some writing and approvals of concept sketches from some of the artists I assigned art a week or two ago. This will be a spring release.

- Rifts® Chaos Earth®: Psychic Scream™ sourcebook, reviewed the manuscript with an eye for the artwork that needs to be assigned. I want this to be a spring release.

- Spoke with Wayne about The Rifter® #83 (spring release) and #84 (summer release). Both are going to be excellent issues.

- Rifts® Antarctica final cover approval. Wow! John Zeleznik outdid himself on this one. You can see it elsewhere in this Update and in the online store. I also continue to consult with contributing writer Carmen Bellaire about his work for this book. I think this will be a summer release.

- Garden of the Gods™ (Fantasy), I actually did a lot of work writing and editing. Sorry, I needed a break from monsters in the Bestiary. You are so going to love this book. Chuck Walton and I also finally hammered out the cover concept. I think this will be a spring or summer release.

- Rifts® Titan Robotics™ Sourcebook. I think I might have mentioned this title at some point in the past. It has been one of our secret projects. Written by Matthew Clements. I reviewed the manuscript this week, and ... wow, Matt strikes again with a rockin’ book about ARCHIE Three, secrets, robots, power armor and adventures galore. He said he thought it was some of his best writing to date, and I agree. That’s saying a lot, because this is the guy who wrote Rift® Northern Gun One and Two.

- NEW – 2 Raw Preview Editions are at the printer and will be available around March 15. - Discussed Rifts® The Disavowed.

- I assigned additional writing for Rifts® CS Arsenal.

- Plotted production for the Beyond the Supernatural™ sourcebooks.

- Hammering out the final agreement to allow the writing of several Rifts® LitRPG novels. The author is pumped up and expects to have the first novel available by summer or fall. He’s already outlined the first three books in the series.

- We’re also considering doing our Megaverse® Insider pre-launch crowdfunding offer like the ones we did a number of years ago for Rifts® Lemuria and Northern Gun One and Two. People loved those in the past and this time around they’ll be for books that are near completion with a quick turnaround of a few months. This would also enable us to produce collector hardcover editions for those of you who love them and offer a PDF edition to Insider participants at the same time the physical book ships.

And there are several other projects in development that we don’t want to mention just yet. All things that will blow your mind and rock your RPG worlds. Actually, we want every book coming your way to do that. We are pulling out all the stops and pushing the envelope on every one of these titles to wow and impress. You have waited too long for many of these titles for us not to give you our very best. And let me tell you, we are delighted to be putting all of our focus and energy back into doing what we love and know best: role-playing game books with astonishing settings, characters, monsters and gear that will set your imaginations on fire.

I have been burning the midnight oil and working weekends for a long while now, so that once books start to be released we can bring you book after book this year. UPDATE: Rifts^® Bestiary, Volume One

Could the monsters known as Caterpillar Things be the larval form of the Mothman appearing in Bestiary, Volume Two? Are Darkhounds really magically mutated Dog Boys? Is that why they see Coalition soldiers as friends and allies? Ee-Bee Gee-Bees are kinda cute, so how dangerous can they be? What on Rifts Earth is a Field Reaper or a Glitcher? You’ll be finding out soon.

The artwork and ideas Chuck has been kicking out for this book (and Volume 2) are phenomenal. We’ll be posting some of it in the Updates. I have been writing like crazy. While I have spent some time on other titles to keep them moving along and books coming out in rapid succession, my primary focus is the Rifts® Bestiary and I am back to working on it almost exclusively as of this morning.

I have been on fire and picking up speed on the writing for Rifts® Bestiary™, Volume One. I think Chuck has finished all of his art tweaks and I’m having a blast with the updating and detailing of the monsters you think you know, as well as the new ones. It has been a joy revisiting these creatures and making them come to life for you in new ways I know you will enjoy. Working hard to wrap this puppy up and get it into your hands as quickly as I can.

The two upcoming Rifts® Bestiary™ books will be great resources for players and G.M.s alike, with creatures that can be used as familiars, pets, riding animals, guard animals, and in some cases, even unlikely allies. Others are slobbering monsters or malicious predators who include humans and D-Bees among their prey. All will give you plenty of spice to add to your characters and adventures. And each has a map that shows at a glance exactly where to find these beasts.

UPDATE: In the Face of Death^™, a sourcebook for Dead Reign^®

I took some time to do a bit of writing for this book and I have been approving sketches for the art by some of the artists. As you recall, I mentioned I had assigned the last pieces of artwork for this book over the last couple of weeks. In the Face of Death™, Rifts® Bestiary™ Volume One, and several other books are really coming together. This will be a spring release.

UPDATE: Garden of the Gods^™

I dove deep into reviewing the manuscript from Matthew Clements with his additions and contributions because we are releasing Garden of the Gods™ as a Raw Preview Edition. Well, the next thing I knew I was writing and editing like a madman for the next three days. I was consumed with a creative fury that I really enjoyed. I had to force myself to put work on this book aside and get back on the Bestiary, but it was an awesome creative ride. Garden of the Gods™ is going to be unique and fun, and the Raw Preview Edition gives you a great idea of what you can expect when the finished book is released later this summer. I don’t know if I just needed to get away from Rifts® Bestiary™, Volume One for a little while or what, but I’m back to working on it with that same level of excitement and creativity. I think it’s just that I cannot wait to get all these books into your hands.

UPDATE: Rifts^® Antarctica^™ finished cover

How about that cover? Wow, right? It took my breath away. I had fun showing it to one person after another, first Wayne, then Chuck, then Alex, then Matthew, then Carmen, etc., and each of them was just as impressed as I was. And now we’re showing it to you.

I think Rifts® Antarctica™ is going to surprise and delight a lot of people. It is also a great example of the fun you can have with the Raw Editions. The sold out Rifts® Antarctica Raw Edition is a far cry from what the finished book is going to be. Those of you who bought the Raw Edition get a glimpse at Palladium’s creative process. When you compare the two, you’ll see what we kept, what we eliminated, what we added and what and how we embellished the material to reach the creative finale of the finished book coming this summer. Fun and educational for those of you who aspire to be writers yourself or just like to have the inside track at Palladium. And that’s true of all Raw Editions vs the finished book.

UPDATE: Rifts^® Chaos Earth^® Psychic Scream^™

As noted earlier, I reviewed the Rifts® Chaos Earth: Psychic Scream™ sourcebook manuscript with an eye for the artwork that needs to be assigned and for what I will want to add or embellish. Writer Taylor White is one of those guys who always sends my creative energy revving into overdrive. I love this book. Shooting for a spring release. Above is the finished cover.

UPDATE: Rifts^® The Disavowed AND Other Titles

We are anxious to put as many of the books you’ve been waiting for into your hands over the next 18 months, as we can.
